The view was magnificent. Some of the photographs taken from that vantage point may become family classics. The Pagoda itself carries a timeless message of peace, and one statement stayed with me: "Express our hope for a peaceful world free of conflict." Sadly, the world continues to test that hope. But perhaps the architects would be equally disappointed to learn that a miniature conflict involving Hitto Doraiba and Kirokugari has been running continuously since yesterday.
